Copywriters rarely write about themselves, but let me tell you how I got here:
When I was a kid and played Scrabble for the first time, I discovered what I like most nowadays: words. That’s when I became a nightmare to my brother, asking him to play the game a hundred times. I might have made him hate it. My bad.
Then, I started to do all kinds of wordy things: being a bookworm, breaking all the world records in doing cross-words, being the scriptwriter of my school’s radio programme (nerd!), learning a few foreign languages or writing poetry of questionable quality – mum always loved them, though.
My writing skills luckily got better and, when it was time to write the final dissertation of my degree in Translation and Interpreting, I had no doubts about the subject: Transcreation in Advertising, which basically consists in the power of words when localising global campaigns.
